Psychology is the science of human behavior - and there is no better place on earth to study human behavior than Rome. A city of three thousand years of continuous civilization, Rome has been the stage for empire and republic, faith and philosophy, art and architecture, migration and multicultural exchange. AUR’s Bachelor of Arts in Psychology combines the academic rigor of an American liberal arts degree with the international perspective of studying in Rome with students from across the globe. The program approaches psychology through research, cross-cultural understanding, and real-world engagement, preparing students to think critically about human behavior in its full social, cultural, and historical context. |

Applicants for admission from high school or a secondary school are required to submit: - A completed application form accompanied by a non-refundable application fee of €50 Euros/Dollars.
- Official transcript of secondary school work and official exam results.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required
- Official university transcripts (for transfer students) from all institutions attended.
- One academic recommendation from the principal, a guidance counselor, teacher or professor.
- Two personal essays: 350-500 words (see AUR website for details).
- Copy of passport.
In addition, applicants must be 18 years of age or have a legal guardian residing in Italy. Each applicant is reviewed individually. Leadership, motivation, academic growth, the level of the secondary school program’s difficulty, involvement in activities and personal goals are important considerations in the application review process. All transcripts, letters of recommendation and other supporting documentation must be received directly from institutions or testing centers. |

Your Personal Essays Please write between 350-500 words on TWO of the three topics below: - All roads lead to Rome: What excites you about the possibility of studying at AUR and living in Rome?
- Pick a historical figure or modern individual you’d like to converse with for an hour and explain your choice. What would you talk about? What questions would you ask?
- As the AUR mission states, AUR prepares students to live and work across cultures as skilled?and knowledgeable citizens of an interconnected and rapidly changing world. Tell us about an aspect of your personal perspective or lived experience that is important to you and describe how it has shaped the way you would learn from and contribute to AUR’s international and collaborative community.
